Great little controller, easy to assemble and fast delivery. I use mine on my T500 urn with a copper head I made and it has slowed things down so I can make good cuts doing UJSSM and Buconear Bobs rum. Cheers Guys
Good kit. Easy to put together if you have some basic electrical experience. The wiring diagram for the most part was easy to follow, be aware the ground needs to be connected to the SSR ground "in "and the to the correct ground "out" on the SSR. This was not pictured in the diagram. Always have an electrician check your work before you plug it in.
While the instructions could have been a little bit more clear, anyone handy enough can figure them out otherwise you should leave it to an electrician to assemble. It works well for controlling my T500 boiler and let's me adjust my pot still to a rate more fitting for making clear cuts as full power on a spirit run tends to smear them.
Great kit everything that you need in 1 kit. Nice and easy to assemble instructions are easy to follow. I ran my T500 boiler with my home made pot attachment for 4 hours and it barely got warm.
I was looking around for an affordable temperature controller, and finally stumbled across this one. Easy to assemble and does the job.
Great value for those who couldn't be bothered collecting all the parts separately. It's all there ready to go and builds up quick and easy but the cable glands are too big to clamp any standard sized power cable.
Easy to assemble, just plug it in to power, plug in your t500 boiler and now u have temperature control, ran it for 6 hours and wasn't hit at all works perfectly at a great price thankyou
Got one of these last week and wired her up over the weekend. Works great. Just be aware when drilling the vent holes that a " Blunt Bit " is best. I started of with a new bit and it grabs and shatters the hole around the edges.
Its great value and does the job exactly as described.
Great price, great kit, works a treat!
An excellent kit. Everything is supplied which saves time and mucking around sourcing parts. I recommend the large box so if you want to add a cooling fan or volt/amp meter you will have plenty of room. Once again Punkin has a great product at an excellent price. Cheers!!
If you're like me and don't feel like scouring the internet for parts and waiting for them all to arrive seperately, this kit is perfect. I put it together fairly easily, without any real hassles. (Have exp, get a soarky to wire or at least check if you dont) Only thing that didn't go together exactly was the cord grips, they were too large and didn't grip my cord. Really trivial thing and minor, but i had to find something to write an objective review. I got around this by adding a couple zipties on the inside side of cord, which sits in tbe cord grip fine and stops any pulling. Have had no heat issues, i drilled extra holes under the heatsink and used somehigh quality silver thermal compound i had rather than the included. I would purchase again, due to the fast service, convenience and time saving of getting everything together. An included wiring diagram would be a nice addition to the packaged kit, but is easily obtainable from the web (although it misses a ground wire on the pot). Cheers!
Everything you need is in the box for a basic kit at a good price. Customer Service was tops and the StillDragon forum team and members offer knowledgeable advice for the kit.
Recommended starter kit that can be added to for more features if required. 2 thumbs up from me
